with reference to

Despatch No 145 of the

22nd June last reporting the grant of leave of absence on half-pay to Acting Surgeon Alexander Campbell of the Hongkong Police Force, I have the honour to inform you that this officer has resigned his post and that The C. Appels have been instructed. I have therefore called upon him for a refund of the half-pay drawn by him during his leave.
